II: incomplete nerve fiber bundle defect (NFBD = arcuate defect) for maximal luminance. III: complete (from blind spot to nasal horizontal meridian) NFBD for maximal luminance or incomplete (II) NFBD with nasal breakthrough. IV: complete NFBD for maximal luminance with nasal breakthrough involving less than one quadrant. V: complete NFBD for maximal luminance with nasal breakthrough involving more than one quadrant. Two stage V defects in the upper and lower half of the visual field from a central and temporal island.

The nasal steps did not coincide with the RNFLD borders but slightly deviated to the macular side. Case 2: 55-year old male, low-tension glaucoma. The macular side border of the RNFLD was traceable for about two disc diameters from 8 o'clock on the disc, but its external border was obscure. 28 Fig. 1. Case 1, left eye. Upper left figure: wedge"5haped RNFLD was observed as dark band . Upper right figure: kinetic perimetry with the FPP, 1000 asb isopter showed an arcuate defect equivalent to the RNFLD.
